The Terraces

To transform and lift a beloved inherited home, to reflect a classic, fresh and modern environment, while still keeping that particular ‘bach’ cosy feel.

Starting with a fresh lick of white neutral paint, we turned the existing beige and forest green interior tones into a warming light foundation. This helped to open up the space and create a base for new furniture and art. The new kitchen design with bold black tiles added depth, while the custom design ensured functionality using high quality materials. New carpet and flooring was installed, and custom made furniture and bedheads were curated for each room - using a mixture of sophisticated neutrals, and colour with plain and quiet-patterned fabrics in the mix. The new bathrooms created a soft and textured sanctuary - with hand crafted blue grey Moroccan tiles set against larger soft stonewash formats and light wooden vanity to embrace the lakefront tones and bach feel.

A bach like no other; we endeavoured to create a Hamptoms-come-Wanaka abode that was both practical, yet still kept the history of the place. We gave the space an overall refresh. Using beautiful fabric, bedding and organic colours, we created a soft cosy and luxurious place to call home by the lake.
