Blooms by The Workroom – Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all floral event services provided by The Workroom & Blooms by The Workroom (“we/us”) to clients (“you/the client”).

1. Products and Services

1.1 Fresh flowers are a living product and may be affected by weather, supply, or other circumstances beyond our control. All items are subject to availability.

1.2 In the unlikely event of supply issues, we may substitute flowers, foliage, or other materials with items of equivalent quality and value. Colour and type may differ slightly from the original design.

1.3 We will always strive to provide substitutions that match or exceed the original design brief.

2. Weddings & Events

2.1 Consultation: An initial consultation is free of charge and by appointment only.

2.2 Quotes: Prices are valid for 14 days. A 50% non-refundable deposit secures your event date.

2.3 Amendments: After payment, small changes are allowed, but the total spend cannot decrease by more than 10%. Increases may be allowed depending on resources.

2.4 Deposit Deadline: If the deposit is not received within 14 days of accepting the quote, your date may be released.

2.5 Price Changes: Prices are secured unless there is a significant rise in supply costs, in which case we will notify you and discuss alternatives.

2.6 Final Payment: Full payment must be received no later than 6 weeks before the event. You are responsible for confirming that all details (quantities, designs, colours, timings) are correct.

2.7 Payments: Bank transfer is preferred. Card payments via invoice are accepted. Phone credit card payments incur a processing fee.

2.8 Hire Items: Hired items (vases, urns, props, etc.) are your responsibility. Lost, damaged, or late returns will incur a post-event invoice. Collection can be arranged for a fee.

2.9 Venue Handling: We cannot be responsible for flowers moved by the venue.

2.10 Ownership: Once delivered, flowers are no longer our property. Clients are responsible for removal/disposal unless a removal service is arranged.

3. Event Setup

3.1 We are not responsible for damage caused by flames or candles after setup. Clients must check venue policies on open flames.

4. Delivery

4.1 Delivery fees are included in your quote. Collection from our store is also available.

4.2 Ensure your contact and delivery details are accurate to avoid delays.

5. Workshops

5.1 We may cancel or amend workshops if minimum attendance is not met. Notice will be given at least one week in advance, and clients can transfer to another workshop or receive a full refund.

6. Postponements & Cancellations

6.1 Postponements: If your event is postponed and we are available, your booking fee transfers to the new date.

6.2 Cancellations: Deposits are non-refundable if cancellation occurs less than 6 weeks before the event. Cancellations more than 6 weeks out receive 90% of the deposit refunded.

6.3 COVID-19: Reschedules due to government restrictions may occur without additional deposit. If a second reschedule is required, a 50% deposit will apply to cover lost business and increased costs.

7. Third-Party Products

7.1 We may hire items from third parties for events. While items are carefully checked, we are not responsible for breakage or injury caused by third-party products.

8. Feedback & Care

8.1 Due to the perishable nature of flowers, clients will receive care instructions upon delivery.

8.2 Queries or feedback should be made immediately or within 48 hours for us to take action.

9. Social Media & Photography

9.1 We may post images of events on our social media or website. If you do not want images shared, please notify us.

9.2 We may request permission to share professional photos from your photographer.

10. Liability & Force Majeure

10.1 We cannot accept responsibility for circumstances beyond our control, including severe weather, sudden illness, or other unexpected events. Refunds in these cases will reflect any costs already incurred.

10.2 While we make reasonable efforts to deliver services as agreed, unforeseen events may impact delivery. We will maintain communication and provide contingency plans where possible.

11. Amendments & Rights

11.1 We may update or amend these Terms and Conditions. Booking and deposit payment constitutes agreement to these terms.

11.2 We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate services at any time.
